杨致远给员工发电子邮件:雅虎寻求避免被微软并购

倍可亲(backchina.com)2月7日消息，据法新社电，雅虎首席执行官杨致远今天向员工发送电子邮件表示，雅虎保证公司高层正寻求方法，避免被软件业巨头微软并购。

　　在这封电子邮件中，杨致远称董事会尚未决定如何回应微软的并购提案。微软以总值446亿美元的现金和股票，企图买下这家历史悠久的网络公司。

　　杨致远说：“董事会试图在复杂且多变的网络生态中，以详细的方式评估各种可能的策略替代方案。”这封邮件的内容已送交美国证券管理委员会。

　　杨致远表示：“过去几天来逐渐明朗的是，人们非常关心这家公司，我从各位伙伴同仁、硅谷和全球许多人听到各种意见，我们需要做对雅虎及股东最有利的事。”

　　杨致远同时也指出，微软以每股31美元出价收购雅虎，显示这家14年历史的公司有潜力重返过去的荣耀。

　　微软日前公开表示，本月一日所提的并购案极为慷慨。微软计划结合两公司的资源，对抗网络搜索龙头Google。

　　Google已公开反对此并购案，谴责其为攻击网络自由的行动。

　　雅虎先前并未对并购案多作表示，仅指董事会正审慎研究各种方案，包括继续让雅虎独立运作。

　　what’s become clear in the past few days is how much people care about this company. we’ve seen a strong show of support from our users, advertisers, and publishers, reminding us how much they love our products and services. and i’ve heard from many of you — and from other friends and colleagues from around silicon valley and across the globe — that we need to do what’s best for yahoo! and our shareholders. i promise you that the board is going to do that.
