- In fact, the 9/2 agreement is mainland giving the island a chance to reunion with peace, otherwise, mainland can easily take the island by force at any time. The 2 systems is what to do after reunion. They are 2 different things. The 9/2 agreement cannot change due to the island is 100 % Chinese property and china cannot afford to lose it. The policy after reunion can. If the island has any better ideas can deal with mainland. I think mainland is more than welcome to work with the island on such issue . Every one can see time is running out and sooner to cut a deal is better for the island. mak
