万能止痛片

前几天开始生病了。我躺在床上，浑身酸痛。一量体温40度。我一天吞了最大限量的止痛片。在这里住了十多年，我第一次有了怀念当年在国内吊盐水的情景。我突然感到原来享受吊盐水的待遇也算是一种幸福。

人说小病是福。自己有幸一直是体质虚弱之人，总会时不时地感冒几次。以前在国内时，我一感冒就往校医务室跑，然后抓了一大堆抗生素回来吃。要是偶尔发烧，那就得验血，然后吊盐水。

刚来这里时，有两年没感冒，心里真是高兴。想想也许是这儿人不多环境好一点的缘故。可是过了两年以后，一切又都回来了。我还是会反复感冒而且还会发烧。去看家庭医生，人家让你自己去药店或杂货店去买一种叫paracetamol的药吃，说过一个星期还不好，再来。这药就是止痛片。

以后去看病多了，知道这儿的家庭医生开的最多的药方的就是这万能止痛片。

如今在这缺少阳光的欧洲的漫漫寒冬时节，我依然躲不过感冒发烧。只是这么多年来，很少去看家庭医生了。因为一般难受一个多星期的话，也就过去了。

这次也是一样，就在我感叹吊盐水的待遇时，在我发烧40度以后的12个小时后，我的烧退了。看来还得感谢这万能止痛片。

Paracetamol, similar to tylenol in US (called "paracetamol" outside North America), or acetaminophen (USAN) is a widely used over-the-counter analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It is commonly used for the relief of fever, headaches, and other minor aches and pains, and is a major ingredient in numerous cold and flu remedies. In combination with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or opioid analgesics, paracetamol is used also in the management of more severe pain (such as cancer pain).

While generally safe for human use at recommended doses, acute overdoses of paracetamol can cause potentially fatal liver damage and, in rare individuals, a normal dose can do the same; the risk is heightened by alcoholism. Paracetamol toxicity is the foremost cause of acute liver failure in the Western world, and accounts for most drug overdoses in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. In 2008 a study conducted in 31 countries on over 200,000 children indicates that infants who are given paracetamol may be at an increased risk of developing asthma as children.

我就说了,有朝一日,我非死在美国...这破地方...小病靠我带的中国药,大病我只能等死了...唉!不来不知道,一来死这啦,哈哈哈哈,,,,

5 回复 remote 2009-2-23 06:02: 感冒是病毒引起，除非有并发的细菌感染，否则吃抗生素一点用没有，还能造成体内菌群失调，抗药细菌生成等。所以，如果就是单纯感冒，不要吃抗生素。

另外，别怀念吊盐水。如果你没有脱水，没有不能进食饮水，吊盐水只是浪费钱，扎针痛，增加感染和输液反应的机会。吊盐水引起的欣快感可能是唯一的好处吧。

国内的治疗是幸福？

怎么说呢？国内很多时候是不该治的时候乱治，病人觉得是得到治疗了，但实际上是在做无用功。娃娃，请记住，任何药物都有副作用。

true, but most of time 病毒 and 细菌 are coinfected 感染, sometimes is difficult to differential at the beginning

好....我带的抗生素我给美国医生看了,他们说是对的...但是一般感冒,他们不用就是了,哈哈哈...

my experience is sometimes antibiotics make the recovery faster because the co-infection, people wait and do nothing for several days coughing, some do develop bronchitis, even pneumonia, so be careful, and get some antibiotics ready

医生,我有问题....
我按照美国医生的要求吃了6天的抗生素...不发烧了....但是还是咳嗽,痰黄,吃herb也没能停止...网友们提供的土方法也试了,可是也不行...我晚上就用医生给的codeine不咳嗽了,睡觉....现在还是一点胃口都没有...就剩生吃西红柿了,哈哈哈...谢谢指导!!

Codeine is an opiate used for its analgesic, antitussive and antidiarrheal properties.
Approved indications include:
• Cough
• Diarrhea
• Mild to severe pain
• Irritable bowel syndrome
Common adverse reactions include euphoria, itching, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dry mouth, miosis, orthostatic hypotension, urinary retention, depression and constipation. Another side effect is the lack of sexual drive and increased complications in erectile dysfunction, and an allergic reaction to codeine, such as the swelling of skin and rashes.
