Birthday

My office has a stupid tradition. On birthdays, everyone chips in and buy a gift for the person who has the birthday.

We find a time everyone can join then sing the birthday song and give the gift to the birthday girl or guy.

Unfortunately we are not supposed to say what kind of present we like. That will ruin the fun moment of opening the wrap and discovering what’s inside.

Yesterday it was my birthday. I got a bracelet.

Since when I wear a bracelet? I don’t like anything on my wrist except a good watch.

Well, anyhow, I should not complain. It’s the thought counts not the present itself.

Basically, they use my money to buy something I don’t like. I have to shut my mouth and pretend to be grateful.

WTF!!!!
