Louisiana 还有一个法官不许白人和黑人结婚呢

这是上周看到的新闻,当时就笑翻了肚子, 不想干了就辞么,干吗要为难别人呢?
理由是跨种族婚姻不牢固,迟早要离婚,所以他不准他们结婚.
现在要开除那名法官了.

他不是法官,justice of peace 太平绅士, 民间人士担任维持社区安宁及处理一些较简单的法律程序的职衔。成为太平绅士无须任何学历或资格认证要求

哦,这个我不懂,但有提到要

justice of peace 也有Discipline, 也要有license,他们就有点象社会上那些"德高望重"的人,推荐出来的.

任飞飞: justice of peace 也有Discipline, 也要有license,他们就有点象社会上那些"德高望重"的人,推荐出来的.
德州是法官， 主审鸡毛蒜皮的事情， 想小额官司， 汽车罚单，结婚。 住在郊区的人， 开车吃了罚单， 大多是去JP的办公处交款。  
我县HArris每个PRECINCT都有一个JP办公室。

德州宪法跟JP有关的（抄的）


Section 19 of Article 5 of the Texas Constitution provides that: Justice of the Peace Courts have original jurisdiction in criminal matters of misdemeanor cases punishable by fine only and such other jurisdiction as may be provided by law.

Original jurisdiction is the authority to accept a case at its inception, try it and pass judgment based upon the laws and facts. This is distinguished from appellate jurisdiction which is jurisdiction to review a court’s action.

The Justice of the Peace performs the functions of a magistrate and conducts inquests. Justices are required to set bonds and conditions as well as perform additional magistrate duties.

A Justice of the Peace may issue warrants for search and arrest, conduct preliminary hearings, administer oaths, perform marriages, and must serve as coroner in counties where there is no provision for a medical examiner.

The Justice Court also functions as a small claims court in civil matters in which exclusive jurisdiction is not in District or County Court and the amount of controversy does not exceed $10,000. The Court can also deal with matters concerning foreclosure of mortgages and enforcement of liens on personal property.
