科普：Cloud Computing（云计算）- Google App Engine

大家都听到过Cloud Computing（云计算）吗？简单地说，所谓的云计算，就是把Inernet（网络）当成自己的电脑，你自己可以不用有硬体设备和才能，就可以通过Internet达成你想要的目标。
 
Google 的Cloud Computing就 Google App Engine，你可以把你的网络服务放到它那儿。它让你在Google的体系内运行你的网络服务。很容易开发网络服务（目前可用Python 和Java 两种语言），免费开始 （可有500MB的数据储量和多达每月5百万的访问量）。

那么你就可以省下这些：

1。不用再买网络服务器等硬体设备
2。可以不再雇用系统管理员（System Admin), 数据库管理员（Database Admin)等高科技人员。 呵呵，你若从事这两个行业，以前是铁饭碗，现在可要当心了，若你单位改用Google App Engine，你就要下岗了。
 
Google App Engine对中小企业有很大的吸引力，小公司可以免费用它，超过了它的免费额，也是用多少收多少费用，肯定能节省很多。
 
现在最大的问题是：我能不能相信你Google， 若我把东西放你那儿，弄丢了怎么办？前不久，T-Mobile (Verizon?, 两者之一，我忘了那个了）在用微软的Cloud Computing, 就发生微软弄丢了它的数据的事故。所以要大家信服，还有一段路要走。

but most of sys admin guys would have problems sooner or later...

but the management of the data structure and data for the particular business still needs dba. surely it could be also out-sourced but i doubt it would work very well. after all, dba from the same company would have better understanding of the company's business.

Google App Engine has its own database structure called Big Table and it is the best database ever (my opinion). Just look at the performance of google search.

所以，最大的问题是你是不是可以信任Google
