真正心灵的安静，不是远离尘嚣，不是冷漠，不是看破红尘，不是做坚忍的隐士，而是把希望投放在正确的位子。因着骄傲，我们追求功名成就，追求他人的称赞与认同，因着骄傲，我们轻看同类，也因着骄傲，我们不满世上的种种丑陋，逃避到自己的世界，沉迷于自己的爱好，追求让自己感到“舒服”的东西。无论我们以何种方式想安静下来，我们都无法真正安静，因为骄傲是心灵焦躁不安的噪音制造器。唯有主耶稣基督才能平息我们心中的风暴。他平息了奔腾的海浪，他甚至让恶的灵听从他。他懂得怎样教我们安静。No pride, no looking down from on high, no hot pursuit of pipe dreams.The soul storm meet their master"Be quiet, be still"
下面是我的功课的一部分，与朋友们分享，审视自己，并在主里得享安息。
The sentence that strikes me most is “I want to be God”. “Only one thing is strong enough to overpower a stormy life: what God promises to do in and through Jesus Christ. ”
I know God is the highest, comparing to him, I am nothing. Wanting to be God is seriously blaspheming God. I thought I exalted God in my heart. But now, after looking deeply inside myself, who ruled me is not the King of king, but my own pride and wills. Adam and Eva sinned because they want to be God. My soul can’t be quiet because I am chasing things too great and too wonderful-my vainglory.
“Be still, and know that I am God”. When I set my hope in the right place, I would become the right size. Only Jesus can disassemble the noise machine. He calmed the storm and commands even the demons, they obeyed him. Only he can teach me his way and set me free from anxiety, greedy, pride and escapism. Only he can break idol in my heart.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. I am sure I will find peace in Jesus and my heart would be quite like a weaned child on his mother, because this is his promise and He will and he can make this happen. Praise the Lord!
Dear Lord, teach me your way, Give me heart of submission and obedience. May your will of me fulfilled. I prayed in Jesus gracious name, Amen!
