1960

Was born at a Guandi Temple which stood beside River Ru, in Xiangcheng, Henan, China

1979

In the period of learning he met Cao Lian a painting master of Wuchang, Hubei province and Cao Lian took him as student with special favor. At the same period he was guided by other masters such as Deng Shaofeng, Huang Liang, and Lu Guang and so on.

1986

His first painting exhibition was held at the Culture Palace of Pingdingshan City, Henan province. The ceremony was jointly presided over by Kong Dexue, Director of Organization Department of Pingdingshan City, Zhou Jiyu, Director of Propaganda Department of Pingdingshan City, and Du Xuepeng, Magistrate of Xiangcheng county. He was awarded a prize called Excellent Young Painter by the General Trade Union of Pingdingshan City and a certificate was issued to him together with the prize after the exhibition.

1989

Was appointed president of Ezhou Painting and Calligraphy Institute by the Federation of Literary and Art of Ezhou City, Hubei province.

1989

One of his works titled Spring Blossoms and Autumn Fruits was granted gold prize on the exhibition tour in Philippine organized by China Foreign Exhibition Corporation, and then he went to Singapore to hold another painting exhibition in December.

1990

One of his flower-bird paintings known as Echo of Nature’s Sound was selected by China Foreign Exhibition Corporation to present on a Chinese painting exhibition abroad and was awarded Second Prize.

Invited by Chamber of Chinese Commerce(San Francisco, USA) in May to hold his painting exhibition

In October he was invited by Art Museum of San Diego City (California, USA) to give his painting exhibition.

1991

Invited by Osaka Overseas Chinese Association (Japan) to give his painting exhibition

1991

Established the first town-owned art museum in China, Shenzhen Longhua Arts Gallery. China’s leaders Li Peng, Tian Jiyun and Cheng Siyuan sent their praising inscrīption respectively.

1992

In August he went to Vancouver to hold his painting exhibition and was selected as Vice Chairman of World Painters and Calligraphers’ Association (Canada headquarters) and lifetime professor of Canadian Multicultural Arts College, His large-size landscape painting called Rivers & Mountains Lasts Forever and Water Flows Eastwards Always was granted gold prize at the international water color painting exhibition held by World Painters and Calligraphers’ Association.

1993

Endless Stream & Mountain and Autumn of the Gorge were granted gold prize at the painting contest called Maple Leaf Award held by Overseas Research Institute of Chinese Painting.

1994

Mountain Huang was awarded top honor prize at the fourth international calligraphy and painting contest held in Taiwan and he was conferred senior advisor by China Lingnan International Calligraphy and Painting Society.

1994

Invited to hold his painting exhibition and have lecture in more than ten countries and territories including France, Brazil, Canada, USA, Italy, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

1995

Beautiful Mountains & Rivers and Long Live the Peace were awarded gold prize at the water color painting exhibition named International Peace held at United Nation Mansion (New York) by World Chinese Art Organization. Two of his works, Peace and Spring Scenery in Four Seasons, were collected by the then U.S. president Bill Clinton.

1995

In July he sojourned in Thailand and established Tianhong Institute of Calligraphy and Painting. His works and his art chronology were selected into Classics of World Calligraphers and Painters and Dictionary of World Celebrities.

In August he was appointed Professor and Advisor of International Cultural Center of Ramkhamhaeng University (Thailand) and he hold Fine Arts Exhibition of 10 Oriental Countries, which refreshed Thai people from all walks of life including those in the government and artistic circles.

In September he was granted Achievement Award of International Famous Artists by World Painters and Calligraphers’ Association (Canada headquarters) and a Golden Shield was issued to him by Ramkhamhaeng University in Thailand for his achievements in holding Oriental Fine Arts Exhibition. Medal and Title were given by Korea National Research Institute of Culture and Arts.

In May he was appointed Directing Executive Chairman of Exchange Centre of Thailand International Culture and Arts.

Long Live the Peace was collected by the then French President, Chirac.

In June he was hired as Chief Art Officer by Royal Art Gallery in France and his work Flock of Eagles and Spring Flower of Peace were collected again by the then French President, Chirac.

In November he was honored as International Celebrity of Contemporary Painting and Calligraphy jointly by 24 National Cultural Institutes in France, Canada, China, Belgium, Japan, USA and etc. A certificate and a gold cup were awarded to certify this special honor.

1997

Water color work Bamboo (in windy, sunny, rainy and snowy setting respectively) was collected into Official Residence of Canadian Prime Minister.

1997

Invited by Thailand Centre Group to have a joint painting exhibition with Xu Shang, a Chinese painter who lived in Thailand. The opening ceremony was presided over by the Chinese Ambassador in the Kingdom of Thailand.

1998

In July he held an exchange painting exhibition at Visual Art centre and lectured at Hong Kong Art University and Hongli Institute of Calligraphy and Painting.

2000

Was invited by Shangrila Hotel (Bangkok) to have his painting exhibition in September and the ceremony was presided over by Commercial Council of Chinese Embassy in the Kingdom of Thailand. Six Cranes Celebrating Spring and Tigers of Fairyland were permanently collected by Art Museum under ALFREDO DONDI, the middle east petroleum big shot.

2001

In September he was invited by Thailand Centre Group to hold his large-scale painting exhibition at Silom Arts Gallery and the exhibition turned out to be a great success unmatched in the past fifty years in the artistic circles of Thailand.

In September, 24 high grade Traditional Chinese Paintings were sold by Christie International Auction Firm (Thailand) for charity and Buddhism activities.

2002

Invited by Governor of Songkhlaa Province (Thailand) to hold his painting exhibition in Hat Yai City for the purpose of cultural exchange and the ceremony was jointly presided over by Mayor of Hat Yai and General Army Commander of Songkhlaa region.

2004

Invited by INTERCONTINENTAL BANGKOK to give his painting exhibition and partial income from the selling was donated to a rest home in northern Thailand

2004

In July his work Thousands of Mountains thoroughly in Red was collected by Chuan Leekpai, the former Prime Minister of Thailand.

2005

In December he held painting exhibition at The Emporium in Bangkok and some money from the selling was donated to Bangkok Orphanage.

2007

In August The Invincible Might Reaches the vault of heaven was highly praised and collected by Chettha Thanajaro, the former Defense Minister and General Army Commander of Thailand.

In December Collected Paintings of Xie Tianhong – hardcover Chinese version was published in Thailand by Hanyi Co., Ltd.

On January 21 Message to human beings on the path to enlightenment, A super successful and detached king of the beast world and other high-quality works won lofty honor on Fine Arts Exhibition of Contemporary Thai and Chinese artists.
