《Invictus》

今晚看了《Invictus》這部電影，非常激勵人心，很感人。

原來《Invictus》是一首詩的題目， 是英國詩人，William Ernest Heney 所寫。這首詩激勵着南非總統 Nelson Mendela 渡過了27年的牢獄生涯。 《Invictus》拍他獲釋後當選成為南非總統，用 rugby 球事聯合了南非國內黑白種族，放棄種族仇恨的故事。詩錄如後：

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
