本周一，正在上一年级的女儿的作业是
Poetry
问：What do you know about poetry?
答：it rape's （她是想写：It repeats. ）
问：Ask a parent or someone at home what they know about poetry?
答：it rim's （本意是：It rhyms.）
问：What do you want to know about poetry?
答：I don't hav eny question abot poetry （懒得想）
问：Poets write about things they love, What are some things you love?
答：（脱口而出的是Candy!,想想觉得似乎不妥，写下的是：）flowr's
问：Use three words to describe something you love.
答：flowrs smel god (即flowers smell good)（数了数，三个词，妥了。我说老师要你们写关于花给你留下的三个不同方面的印象。于是又写了：）look prity thar or ol ki's (look pretty, there are all kinds)
女儿这次作业算是应付过去了。据说第二天就要在学校谈关于诗的话题了。不知道下周的作业是否有机会表现出进步。
不过说老实话，青春期才是学诗的好时光。
另外呢，她四岁左右的时候，是一个天才诗人。随口说出的就是些有意思的打油诗。最近这方面的光芒黯淡下去了。
话说回来。她那天正好放假一周后，第一天回学校，压根不想做作业。我就让她应付过去，因为实在不指望她明白啥叫诗。不过对付完作业，她就兴高采烈地翻出她认为最地道的诗集A light in the Attic。指出她最喜欢的一首诗：
