She woke up and he has not, looks at him, and her mind drifts away……
She met him in a business meeting, when the doors opened; he walked in with smile. She saw dimples flashed on his face.
Similar age made their partnership smoothly and easy, and they enjoyed talking to each other, at beginning, works related, and then, topics were getting wider and wider.
During a meeting, she started her routine daydream, and suddenly a picture popped into her head. It was him, in tuxedo happily chatting with people – it was on their wedding. Quickly, she woke up, shocked, and she met his puzzled sight. Her ears felt like burning.
One day after work, he showed up in her office, asked her out for dinner. He told her, he was leaving the company, and they were no longer as business partner. She was kind of relieved, and thought maybe…… After dinner, when she turned away, leaving; he grabbed her and pulled her back. She liked smell of his after-shave.
So many years pasted, she and him got into arguments twice. Once, while they were dating, he put his long and slim fingers on the back of her neck, whispering, "Can we stop?" Another time, they just moved to a new place; he was in tears, sadly sitting on the sofa, and she quietly put back already packed luggage.
Forever means too far for her. She is satisfied that she still smiles and his dimples always flashing when their eyes locked together. She just hopes, by tomorrow, they can still smile at each other.
