办成绿卡后，我几乎每年回国探望父母和众多亲朋好友，来去自由，很是方便。第五个年头，先生与他哥们商量好，两家开始申请美国公民，他给我的理由：你不是想周游世界吗，成了美国公民，有了美国护照，欧洲大部份国家，还有南美......不用签证，方便多了，而且出国旅游也增加了安全系数。那时因公他已游遍北欧，还去过意大利、德国、巴西等国，种种原因，包括签证，我没能随行。好几年前先生就想回国发展，可是我不愿意，给他的理由：我已经适应了美国生活，我在美国生活得很幸福，当然我爱着这片土地。
爱是有理由的，在这里不仅有我爱着的我的工作和事业，还有我爱看的橄榄球赛、网球赛、捧球赛，有我如痴如狂的芭蕾，有我沉溺的音乐和电影，有我离不开的探索、历史、福克斯新闻、体育等电视节目，有我那美如仙境的后院，有我依恋的蓝天白云......“Can you feel the love？Can you feel the love？......”
