Will it matter after I am gone,
the trivial things I have done
day in and day out?
我走了以后这一切对你还重要吗？
每日每时我曾为这些琐碎的小事而忙忙碌碌。
Will you remember fondly,
the way I used to sound
and the way you made me laugh?
Will you take moments to touch
the pillows I crocheted,
letters I have written
and clothes I have mended?
你会不会用一点时间去触碰我睡过的枕头，写过的信件，以及我缝过的一针一线？
Will you fear the day will come
where you forget how I sounded;
the way I dressed
or music I enjoyed?
你有没有担忧过那一天终会来临，

Will you still stay friends
with those related to me,
and people who knew me,
just to reminisce together

Lozan Yamolky is born & raised in Baghdad 1972; She is the 5th of 11 children (8 girls / 3 boys ). If you gather her family today there are 47 of them.
She is of Kurdish decent from northern Iraq and in 1994 she left illegally as an asylum seeker and lived in Ankara, Turkey. She worked with the United Nations, Canadian embassy and Australian embassy as an interpreter until she migrated to Canada May 3, 1995
She wrote poetry as early as her preteen years but because of fear of being judged/ ridiculed by peers & siblings she stopped writing or would throw the poems away.
Her uncle Serwan Yamolky (poet, composer & singer) inspired her to not stop writing after finding her one day bent over crying. He listened to her read one poem that she was about to throw away and he was so pleased he begged her to never ever destroy her poems anymore. He offered his house as a safe place to hide her poems. He is now waiting for her to finally get her first book of poems published; her debut poetry book (I'm No Hero) will be launched on October 4th in Maple Ridge.
LOZANNE YAMOLKY生于巴格达，有十一个兄弟姐妹，她排行第五。全家现在有47人。她有伊拉克北部KURDISH 的血统。1994年离开伊拉克，曾经在土耳其寻求政治庇护，为联合国，加拿大使馆，澳大利亚使馆作过口语翻译。 1995年移民加拿大。
她十岁之前开始写诗，但是害怕被人讥笑，写了就扔了。又一次被叔父发现，叫她念一首给他听，觉得她很有天分，命令她从今之后不要扔她的诗，还给她一个安全的地方收藏她的诗歌。她有一本诗集，10月4日开新书发布会。
