Sandy Hook 惨案后，奥巴马签署政令斥资1000万美金让美国疾病控制中心立即着手枪支暴力的研究。白宫对疾病控制中心的研究结果寄以厚望，希望为其力推的控枪举措铺平道路。几个月后，报告出炉，却让白宫惊掉了下巴。疾病控制中心治学严谨的臭老九们着实让奥巴马下不了台。咱们的总统也只好上演沉默是金，对CDC的报告只字不提。各位有兴趣的可以从以下链接下载完整报告：

既然，CDC的报告由总统全力推动而非NRA等的Pro-Gun团体炮制，我们不妨多看几眼这标价千万的报告。咱们可都是掏钱的主。
亮点一：持枪民众不容易受到不法侵害。
“Studies that directly assessed the effect of actual defensive uses of guns (i.e., incidents in which a gun was ‘used’ by the crime victim in the sense of attacking or threatening an offender) have found consistently lower injury rates among gun-using crime victims compared with victims who used other self-protective strategies.
”
亮点二：依法用枪自卫相当普遍。每年公民持枪自卫成功的案例有50万到300万例之多。可以想象，在美国犯罪最大的顾忌是遇到持枪公民。
““Almost all national survey estimates indicate that defensive gun uses by victims are at least as common as offensive uses by criminals, with estimates of annual uses ranging from about 500,000 to more than 3 million per year…in the context of about 300,000 violent crimes involving firearms in 2008.”
亮点三：意外死于在枪下，和在大规模枪击案中丧身的人数仅仅占和枪械有关死亡人数的一小部分，而且已经在逐年下降。
“The number of public mass shootings of the type that occurred at Sandy Hook Elementary School accounted for a very small fraction of all firearm-related deaths. Since 1983 there have been 78 events in which 4 or more individuals were killed by a single perpetrator in 1 day in the United States, resulting in 547 victims and 476 injured persons.” The report also notes, “Unintentional firearm-related deaths have steadily declined during the past century. The number of unintentional deaths due to firearm-related incidents accounted for less than 1 percent of all unintentional fatalities in 2010.”
亮点四：大多数死于在枪下的，不是他杀，而是自杀。要自杀的话，死法太多，持之以恒总会成功。而用枪在自己身上轰个窟窿眼，实在不美观。
“Between the years 2000-2010 firearm-related suicides significantly outnumbered homicides for all age groups, annually accounting for 61 percent of the more than 335,600 people who died from firearms related violence in the United States.
”
亮点五：控枪，禁枪，包括加强背景调查，对减少枪支暴力效果不明。
“Whether gun restrictions reduce firearm-related violence is an unresolved issue.” The report could not conclude whether “passage of right-to-carry laws decrease or increase violence crime.”
这里不禁感慨老美的治学态度，还有那付皮囊里裹着的铮铮傲骨。这要是在天朝，习哥开过金口还赐了银子，清华北大中科院的哪个奴才敢唱一出对台戏。呵呵，这或许就是美国第二修正案和天朝菜刀实名制的区别。民间有枪，免不了有人为非作歹。人民没枪，免不了政府为非作歹。
