几天前下班时，听到车上播放的Pearl Jam的现场版Immortality (10-22-2003 Live At Benaroya Hall, Seattle, Washington)。当时觉得中段的吉它Solo相当出彩，所以也就对这首歌多了些搜罗信息。
关于这首歌的初心，似乎长期一直存在许多争议与想像。更多的让Nirvana乐队的乐迷，觉得这是Pearl Jam乐队对Nirvana主唱Kurt Cobain自杀事件的纪念。尽管Eddie Vedder曾经一再澄清这首歌与Kurt的自杀无关，但此歌让两个曾经互相仇视的乐迷队伍有了几许亲近。不想表达太多个人看法，只算提供大家欣赏音乐。也很有兴致地翻译了一把歌词，纯属个人的理解。
