- Midway. The Americans won due to good luck, perfect attack decision makings and better ship design of double hulls (inside and out side hulls ) aircraft carriers. It is hard to sink double body ships for can't hit the same spot of a ship twice. Plus,the American navy has a very good tactics of sinking enemy ships by focusing hitting the ship on one side only so the water can rush in and turn the ship upside down fast. Good for America.
