- 丹奇: I completely agree with you. If our people sees the development in China within this short period either economically or politically, they won't blam...:).
the Transparency International listed mexcio as democracy (maybe so?), which has far better ratings in terms of political transparency and index of corruptions. i happened to have worked there for a project for almost two years. i can tell you this: i can't argue about the transparency of the politics there since i was foreigner, but corruptions over there is far, far worse than that in china. you have to wonder what is really behind ratings of the Transparency International.
mexico has far less people and far more natural resources than that of china. it is just next to the states, yet it does poorly in both economics and politics.

- when I was China last year, I spent almost whole week to teach and lecture in hospital, they have good hardware there, but the quality care is not there, I do want to change it overnight too. the big problem is that the people sitting in the position don't do a good job and won't give up the postion either

- 一鸥: 喜欢你的坦率。政治到处不受欢迎，但是有谁能生活在没有政治的真空里？尽管有人会表示讨厌政治，但是却要强调民主自由，要享受种种特权，这难道不是政治？问题是中国的阶级分化, 世袭化,以及在国内冲官民冲突中,越来越多的使用暴力是个很大的问题,毕竟民心是个最重要的东西.

- mgoo: 事实是，他们不想放弃权力，在中国，特权意味着一切。没有人想轻言放弃，如果没有必要。再加上党60年前控制了中国，他们为什么要与其他人分享？这是人类的本性，盲目的歌功颂德谁都会.但是经济发展并不意味着解决了所有的矛盾

- 江上渔夫: 中国政治，最根本的东西谁都不敢碰，所以，说什么都没用，顺其自然好了。历史的发展自有它的轨迹。历史是有自己的轨迹,但是一个聪明的民族,应该在历史的转弯出,为自己的民族提前找出方向.

- snortbsd: well, i don't know how many years you have been out of the country. but every time i was back there and i was shocked to see the development of polit如果能用中文,最好用中文,我做了十几年的翻译,英语不可谓不好.但是看英文真的还是不太习惯,至少是从速度上. 另外, 我并不是一个唯民主自由主义者,西方的历史我也懂,我的世界历史一直不错. 对于西方如何发迹的,很了解.
人性有共通的东西,中国不可能永远是个例外.
唱赞歌这个东西,人人都会,这么多年,我一直呆在国内,难道不了解国内的发展.
但是我更想说问题.
经济的发展,也不可能一直保持这样的高速.
东亚的韩国和台湾,一直是高压独裁统治,在经济发展之前,但是,经济在发展,社会结构也在巨变.
矛盾积累深了,迟早会引爆.
如果你看到央视大火之后民间的反应,以及杨佳刺死警察后网上的反应.
就能了解到,这个社会的对立和怨恨有多深.
一个负责任的人,不是在那里歌功颂德似的维护,而是找出问题,让国家有好的未来.
另外,我的英语很好,在这里读博士也没有问题,不过我还是欢迎用中文说话.
用英文,并不见得有学问.
