- you are lucky because there is historically low rate nowadays. some local banks have 3% 1-year fixed rate mortgage. quite a few offers 3.375% 15-yr fixed rate. go get it now!

1. good: you have got a historically low rate. what rate did you get?
2. bad: it is likely the rate may further drop a little bit in the coming 6 months, unless greek and euro crisis is completely over -- which i don't think will happen within the next 6 to 12 months.
