but i guess it was in shanghai, could be exception...

- The levels of medical care in china vary dramatically. If you guys talk about the services in the top cities like in shanghai and beijing, it doesn't mean much to the majority ordinary people over there.
Frankly speaking, the overall medical service in china is pretty poor. I am talking about 60-70% of the population. I have some connections in Jiangsu province live in small villages. Those areas in china don't belong to poor areas. But still there are a lot of people dying with, for example, cancers without any medical care, just because they can not afford it. Services in the majority small hospitals in small towns and cities are poor. In big cities, like in nanjing, I have relatives work in hospitals as doctors. The bribe and medical male-practice is pretty common. There are good doctors, but most of them take tips (thousands of RMB) from their patience.
The drug distribution system is also a major problem in china. Sales people bribe the doctors. Doctors write unnecessary prescription drugs for their patience just because they can get kick backs. These kinds of things are happening in China everywhere, everyday.
The government started to address the medicare system problem in china. But with the overall corrupted system, it's hard to believe china can provide most of its people with decent medical care in the near term.

- I don't use HMO at all. I use PPO. PPO gives you a lot more flexibilities in case you get a serious decease, for example, a cancer. One of my classmates in the states got liver cancer a couple years ago. He survived. According to his words, he fought two wars, one against the cancer, the other one against the insurance (HMO). PPO is much better in disaster situations. It may ended with you pay more for small problems, but much more benefits for disaster. That is exactly what we need from the insurance. - protection against disaster. Don't try to save pennies, try to save big bucks.

这是我同学刚刚回澳在车上讲的，是据实转写的，有些更激烈的语言不宜，就没有写；他是IT人，骗我干嘛？
没想招谁同情，就想大家可能的话引以为戒，你也不用可怜谁，不骂街就谢你啦；
写的是事实，这里不是听证会，医院名你爱猜成哪个是你的事；
在同个医院看过病结果大相径庭的多了，说明不了什么，运气好坏而已，我家里人在你说的医院住过院，挺好的，那是10几年前，有死党照顾，不能说这家医院就好的如何了，逻辑不通；
我自己也回过国内医院，硬件好着呢，照样摸不着头脑，是的，很土包子，尤其是和您这美国的比；
我同学碰到不少外地人，都是冲着CCTV神医去的，也有保安，可是票贩子照样，当然净找我同学这样的了。
您当初挂的号估计不热门吧。俺自己有一次10点到某医院挂一个300专家号，也是第一哈，俺也清醒的。
你说医院4层可以不用坐电梯，我同学父亲80的老人，您是否批准坐一下呢？不知你质疑什么？俺要编故事，不用电梯也行；澳洲机场公众使用两层，我次次用电梯，不行么？
票贩子确实面临严重打击，可人家都是聪明人，我同学倒没做包子一回，是嫌改名作假麻烦；
你外甥没碰上索贿的真好运，但不能说我同学也不可以碰上，他就是不愿意这么想，才第2天又去了一次的，你说对了，真是个包子，尽管身后没有狗！
顺便说一下，村里同情我同学的人都不傻，也有时常回国的，国内情况好坏大家心知肚明的。

顺便再说一下：俺自己家里人就在大医院工作的，俺指着她们医院在电脑上的介绍问她，家里人说：你要是信这个，就自己去吧，别找我！

最后，人们凭什么信你陈述的那些事情？ 你开博以来有发表过别的博文吗？ 你这头一篇用语极其肮脏和恶毒，读者凭什么相信你说的任何话？
已经不止一次看到你在“规定”别人该写什么，该在哪儿发表。
这就是你主张的“民主、自由”么？
对别人写的东西可以批评，但不要摆出中宣部的样子好不好？
