- sorry it's too late for me to know it because i am a fresh and in eastern right now.I think you need to go to court first.then answer" guilty" while the judge ask you to make option of "guilty or no guilty".the judge is used to ask you take driving defence course.you need to pay the court fee.it's $108 in texas.at last the court should clear your traffic record.

- Sorry, this is way too late. But you should definitely go to the court. I am not sure you can win the argument if your reason is there are others driving faster. But you can definitely question the police officer if his speedreader was appropriately calibrated and secondly, if he acknowledge there was a heavy traffic how he can be certain his speedgun was actually testing your speed instead of some nearby vehicles'. Realistically, you will get a plea bargain either to waive the point or sometimes part of the fine.
