i have no prior experience in dealing with an adolenscent, rebellient teenager. i am offering one suggestion: you can influence such a strong, adament person as his friend not as his opponent. it may be tough for you to change your role into his friend.
did you try to network with your peers or colleagues who have sons of your son's age and can be your son's accompany? try to get someone who is a good example, willing to become your son's friend hence can influence your son. try to get one or more.
Nice words, thank you very much ...However, it is clear you have no experience dealing with this type of boy...He has absolutely no interest in meeting new people, or making "friends", and if we ask him to try, he replies; "Whatever!!"
He lies, he cheats, he sneaks around our house and steals things, etc....
He just wants to stay in bed and watch TV all day...He refuses to study English, play sports, or get a job...We are now trying the "tough love" approach...
