- 是呀。中国人以前不大相信运气，要孩子努力。这些年有些反智倾向 (也许是太努力了效果不障的反动)，H2之流有相当的支持。

- All the questions in that link are about the Algebra. Frankly speaking if you are not math major from top schools, you probably never meet questions like that. I don't think there are many here are interested at those problems. While I do have an interesting math problem from Harvard math students. Its simplicity appearance would be attracting even high school students to solve it while even the most Harvard math professors could not do it. I'll give it here once after work today and see who could do it here.

- Unless you are specialized in Algebra, or you don't want to bother to figure them out. About the Pancake sorting problem, yes Bill's algorithm was fastest from 1979 to 2008 in about 30 years, until Dr. Hal Sudborough, the UT Dallas CS professor claimed in Sep 2008, that his algorithm is 18/11 *N that was accepted by Theoritical CS, improved from Bill's 5/3 N.

- Pancake sorting is a rather strange kind of sorting (not often used in various applications), so most people don't know much about it. But it is quite impressive that Gates were able to come to a fine solution within short time. He would make a good professor.

- 他2007年得到哈佛的荣誉学位 (迟到了30年)。其实他可以在任何时间回学校去把书读完，花2年时间。但一想到要做题，头就大。

的确，事情太多，他们那样的人估计也静不下心来了，所以就荣誉了吧。Facebook那个小伙子也再等三十年好了。
