I now know a lot more about US. I have been to Virginia 5 years ago. I visited my classmate in ODU. Yes, it is located in Norfork. I went to the beach there. I just remembered that the beach is very cold and the sea water is not as crystal as those in the south area. I didn't know that Virginia is such an important state.
I don't know much about new york city and state. I thought New York city is NY.

for the new yorkers (those living in nyc), the up sate of new york state isn't new york...
