美国航空空服员汤普森（Estes Carter Thompson III），先前试图在机上洗手间放置手机偷拍14岁少女如厕，所幸女孩机警地发现并举报，警方后续在汤普森的设备内找到其他未成年受害者影像，法院23日判处他18年6个月有期徒刑。
据《美联社》报导，汤普森于2024年1月在维吉尼亚州林奇堡（Lynchburg）被捕，警方追查后发现他除了试图偷拍14岁少女之外，还曾在9个月的时间内拍摄4名未成年女孩机上如厕的过程，这些受害者的年龄介于7至14岁之间。
波士顿法院审桉法官科比克（Julia Kobick）痛斥汤普森的行为令人髮指，并让女孩从此失去了纯真，因此判处入狱18年6个月，出狱后还需接受5年的监管。
汤普森之后将在北卡罗莱纳州的巴特纳联邦医疗中心（Federal Medical Center, Butner，属于联邦监狱系统）服刑，预计会接受针对性犯罪者的治疗。
