- Applying for college is like a competition among parents. I still remember how proud my parents were when I got into famous school in China. The success was enjoyed more by the parents than the kids themselves. Now it is my turn to push the kids and join the battle, I feel like lots of my friends with kids of similar age are already crazy before they even enter high school.
I think life has many steps, getting into a famous university does not mean your life is set and a degree from a famous school does not necerssarily lead to a happy life. There are more steps after college or even after a PhD degree.

- angel-jm: Could you let me know what is AP?Advanced placement class. High school students take AP class, once they pass the test, they can take the credits to the colleage.(not all the university accepts all the APs). It's a kind of colleage level classes in high school. IB classes are the same concept.
