Two Northampton County men face charges of spreading child porn after separate investigations by the state police.
Brian
James Clarke, 26, of the 500 block of Acorn Drive in Easton, and Weiwu
Zhao, 74, of West Madison Street in Easton, are charged with
dissemination of child pornography and related offenses. Both men were
arrested by state police Tuesday.
State
police said that earlier this year Microsoft notified the National
Center for Missing and Exploited Children that someone in Pennsylvania
had uploaded child pornography through one of their networks, according
to court records. State police tracked the upload back to a computer in
Easton and when they interviewed Clarke he admitted uploading the child
pornography, troopers said.
Zhao was charged after state
police went looking online for child pornography being shared over the
E-mule network, police said. Investigators tracked a three minute,
22-second video that was being shared back to Zhao's home in Easton,
according to court records. State police said when they interviewed Zhao
at his home, his adult daughter translated for them as he admitted
downloading child pornography.
